Dr Cat is an experienced GP and menopause specialist. She qualified in medicine from University College London before which she was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from King’s College, London. Career opportunities led Cat to North Yorkshire where she currently works as a GP in a rural NHS practice. She is a menopause specialist, member of the British Menopause Society and also a Diplomat of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health.

Should you book an appointment with her, no conversation is off limits and her gentle, caring and conscientious approach will make you feel instantly relieved. She’ll work through your symptoms with you to establish a treatment plan that empowers you to lead a more joyous and fulfilling life.

‘I am delighted to become a part of the wonderful team at My Menopause Centre and to support women on their menopause journey. Menopause can present with a myriad of symptoms, often catching women unaware and at a time when many are juggling their responsibilities at work and home and often ageing relatives. This can leave women feeling overwhelmed, alone and anxious. While 51% of the world population will go through menopause, how little people talk about it and the lack of awareness is astounding! This lack of awareness is even more so within ethnic minority communities where difficulties in accessing menopause care are further compounded by cultural beliefs and language barriers. My intimate understanding of Asian culture and fluency in Hindi and Urdu helps me to establish rapport with women from this background and I hope to ease their access to menopause care’
