Why Your Best Sex Is Yet To Come – Making Love During the Menopause

This event has finished

We believe that one of the best ways to smash a taboo is to talk about it, and of all the taboos around the menopause, sex is probably one of the biggest ones.

Research by The British Menopause Society has shown that around 40-50% of menopausal women experience loss of sex drive during the menopause transition. The loss of oestrogen experienced during the menopause can affect women’s desire to have sex (libido), and also result in pain during sex due to gynaecological symptoms such as vaginal dryness and irritation.

Join us for this free live session: ‘Why Your Best Sex Is Yet To Come – Making Love During the Menopause’ where My Menopause Centre’s co-founders – registered menopause specialist and GP Dr Clare Spencer, and Helen Normoyle – will be in conversation with and Eleanor Gardner, co-founder of Pelvic Relief and Trudy Hannington, a Senior Psychosexual Therapist. We’ll cover:

  • common gynaecological symptoms experienced during the menopause that can affect a woman’s ability to have or enjoy sex
  • loss of sex drive and the treatment options available for both – from HRT, lubes and sex toys, to sex and relationship counselling

We want to make sure this session is as useful, honest and fun as possible so we’d love to hear your questions (anonymous is fine – we get it!).

Drop us a line at hello@mymenopausecentre.com by Sunday 10th September to get your questions answered.
