Dr Clare is a registered menopause specialist and GP. She qualified from Cambridge University and holds Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and Royal College of General Practitioners. She is the Clinical Director of Menopause Centre and an NHS GP Partner in Leeds, where she also leads a large NHS menopause clinic. Dr Clare is also a member of the British Menopause Society (BMS) Medical Advisory Committee and a BMS menopause trainer.
Darren is a qualified psychotherapist and senior manager in a large national Social Enterprise (Turning Point), supporting over 150,000 people each year across the country in over 100 locations and virtually. He has worked within health and social care for almost 30 years.
Darren leads Rightsteps’, the Business-to-business brand of Turning Point, therapy services. He is also the Principal of livelife, Turning Point’s direct to consumer brand.
He trained and qualified as a psychotherapist and became UKCP, UKRC and BACP accredited. He had his own private practice for many years but also set up over 15 individual counselling services within Turning Point all over the country.
Helen co-founded My Menopause Centre with her good friend, Dr Clare Spencer. She is on a mission to raise awareness of menopause and help empower women with the knowledge they need to embrace this new chapter and thrive. Helen is particularly passionate about supporting women in the workplace and helping employers understand the benefits of having a positive menopause policy. Helen has held Chief Marketing Officer roles in a range of sectors with Boots, the BBC, DFS and Countrywide. She has also worked in broadcast and telecoms regulation at Ofcom and in the mobile technology sector with Motorola.
