Did you know... A staggering 1 in 10 women have left their job because of their menopause symptoms, while similar numbers have reduced their hours, gone part-time or stepped back from promotion. Despite this, over 60% of companies still don’t have a menopause policy in place.
A consequence of this lack of support? The UK loses an estimated 14m workdays every year due to menopause symptoms. With menopause mainly affecting those in their late 40s and early 50s, too many women are leaving work at the peak of their careers, exacerbating the pension and gender pay-gap, weakening gender diversity and doing nothing to attract and retain talent.
It’s no wonder that the menopause has fast become one of the most important and topical issues facing businesses today, with growing recognition that the impact that it has on female talent retention and mental health can no longer be underestimated or overlooked and the taboo must go.
Sign up for this FREE joint Rest Less Presents and My Menopause Centre online event on March 19th at 7.30pm to hear from our expert panellists about what menopause in the workplace really means and the actions that can be taken to make things better:
We look forward to seeing you there!
